Chalet Princesse is located in Megève,
a ski-in/ski-out property, 50 meters from the slope "La Princesse".
This brings you to the famous Mont-Arbois ski area. The 5* luxury ski chalet is
a five-minute drive from the centre of Megève. This authentic luxury 4 floor chalet
is full of charm, it benefits from an incredible living surface of
approximately 1035m², with outside surroundings of approximately 2165m².
The chalet is decorated in traditional
Savoyard style. All rooms are a mix of modern and antique with wood furniture.
There is a central fireplace which is the hub of the main living area. There is
also a games room with a snooker table and a cinema room. This is a large
chalet with extra living rooms allowing space for everyone to find something to
do within the house and never feels overcrowded, yet still has the charm of a
personal and cozy chalet.
The gym (if you still have the
energy after skiing) is located next to the spa area which also has a large hot
tub and a turkish hammam, a dry sauna and a salt sauna where you can rest your
muscles and loosen them at the end of a skiing day. Or you can choose to relax
in the massage room where a massage can be provided on demand to make you feel
ready for the next day.
The 12 Secluded and private bedrooms
are a variety of sizes, all fitted with en-suite luxury bathrooms and toilet, traditionally
furnished but with every creature comfort, for example built in cupboards, a sitting
area and balconies. Some are even more luxurious benefiting from an in-room
jacuzzi and a private balcony.
Don’t settle for somewhere that’s
just going to be for sleeping and storing your boots! You might be spending a lot of time on the
slopes, but heading back to base at the end of a long day should be just as
exciting as heading out in the morning!
A holiday place to look forward
to! Be there!
Megève is a well-kept secret; it was created by a
Baroness of the famous Rothschild family a century ago as a French answer to St
Moritz which has been synonymous with the best of everything. This is a traditional
little Haute Savoyard village in the shadows of the highest mountain in Europe,
Mont Blanc. The journey by car from Geneva airport takes a little over an hour,
and is one of the chicest villages that one could come across.
As one of the world’s iconic ski destinations, it is
the main part of the Evasion Mont Blanc
ski area – the 4th largest in France. Resort Statistics - 116 lifts
with 223 pistes, 3 snow parks, 44 green runs, 63 blue runs, 82 red runs, 34
black runs, offering extensive terrain for skiers of all levels.
With an average of 200cm of snow falling every year the
trails are well covered. On the occasion when Mother Nature doesn’t provide
enough snow, there are more than 175 snow cannons to make extra.
The domain has a great majority of its runs cut in the
trees which makes it the area to be in when there is a bad storm or “whiteout”
conditions. In most ski areas above “treeline,” one would have to stop skiing
for safety in bad weather conditions but not in Megève.
For those who hate crowded pistes and lift-queue scrums
and for families with younger children or beginner skiers this is the place.
Megève has plenty of wide, gentle nursery slopes and the runs are quiet which
makes learning easier and a lot more fun. For those who like exploring you can
head to a different zone each day and find something new, all with scenic
setting and stunning views of the Mont Blanc the highest mountain in the Alps
and the highest in Europe.
And apart from skiing?
Plenty to choose from: off-hill
options include ice skating, tennis, climbing, swimming and bowling. There are
60 working farms to visit, some tucked up the quaint
narrow side streets. This pretty and chic village is paved with cobbled streets, and
hosts a well-known boutique shopping area. All automobile circulation is
banned during high season and horse-drawn sleighs carry tourists all over.
A memorable experience for young and old!
